Hello What's the problem? After installing the mod which should change the colours to a darker palette (black and gold/orange) they are just complete off (grey-ish white) Does the problem persist across multiple mods?Yes and no, tried with a different but similiar mod ( www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/80/?). The colours again a not quite what they should be, but not as extreme. They are just much much darker. Which mods? Provide URLs.www.nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/109/? Have you contacted the mod author about the problem?Yes but I haven't got a response/help so far. Game affected?Mass Effect 2 ME3Explorer version used?v3.0.0 Tool used when experiencing the problem?TPF/DDS Tools Windows version?Windows 10 Pro, 64bit Game localization? English Is your game pirated, EXE cracked, etc?No, I got the original Game and all DLCs bought on Origin. But used the "DLC patch fix" so the game would let me change DLC content ( github.com/Erik-JS/masseffect-binkw32) Have you tried properly vanillaing your game using this wiki article?Yes, I do not use any other mods for ME2 (beside a modified Coalesced.ini and the above mentioned 'binkw23.dll' Describe what you have done to troubleshoot the issue.Tried to install either the tpf or dds and repaired and reinstalled the files. Embed all relevant screenshots of errors, the problem tool, debug output, and examples of the problem.InGame ScreenshotsME3Explorer Screens & Log Debug LogFileHope you can help me and I did not do something horribly wrong

1. Thanks for generating a complete request. Very nice.
2. Your problem should be addressed to the mod author. Judging by the debug you posted, all of the textures are improperly formatted. The author clearly states the textures are for use with Texmod. That means you can *try* to install them with the toolset, but if the formats aren't properly fixed by the toolset (which isn't 100% foolproof), the textures will not look correct in game. Have you tried the textures with Texmod? If not, you should. See how they look.
3. Modifying the coalesced can affect textures. So, if you are using a modded version you didn't create yourself and that contains setting changes that you don't thoroughly understand, that could also be involved in your problem.

Oh wow Scamper, yeah I haven't heard from them in AAAGES. I wonder where they've gone off to.

Thank you very much!
Tried a fresh (original) Coalesced.ini, but it didn't help. Texmod won't work for ME 2 for me, at all. I wasn't aware that textures for Texmod could not always be installed via ME3Explorer, I just assumed it would not make much difference in the end. I'm sorry, I will just wait and maybe contact the mod creator again for help.

Greetings misscashmere. I realize it has been a while since you posted this issue, but in case you haven't already resolved it yourself, I also use a part of this mod and have managed to make it work for me for a while now. If you would like, I'd be willing to assist you with this so that you may enjoy it as well. Feel free to send me a PM if you do need help. Otherwise, I do hope you managed to figure it out.

Yes, I have the Origin Version of ME2 bladezeroNo I haven't found a solution so far. So I'd very happy for any help you could offer. Unfortunately I can't send you a PM here (probably too new?)

Five post limit before PMs to non-staff kick in. That means *neither* of you can PM each other yet, lol. Go ahead and get things started in this thread, then move to PM, if necessary

Go ahead and get things started in this thread, then move to PM, if necessary Oh, I didn't even know about the post limit rule before using PMs. Glad that's cleared up. Anyways, sorry for the late reply, real life was kicking me where it hurts. Anyways, there are two ways I could help you out on this. I could even do both if you wish. #1: I could manually fix the .tpf file for whichever color variant(s) you'd like, so that you could do a proper install with the TPFTools, if you so wish. #2: I could walk you through how to run Texmod with the Origin version of ME2 if you want to give some of those variants a test run before doing a permanent installation of the textures. I've never added squadmate outfits into my Coalesced, so that's a little out of my league, but I will acquaint myself with it as best I can if you need help with this as well.

That would be pretty amazing if you have any idea how to do this! And if it is not too much work. nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/109/ (Download Link nexusmods.com/masseffect2/download/280/?) nexusmods.com/masseffect2/mods/80/ (Download Link nexusmods.com/masseffect2/download/242/?) #2: I could walk you through how to run Texmod with the Origin version of ME2 if you want to give some of those variants a test run before doing a permanent installation of the textures. And no I have no trouble with editing the Coalesced file or usually with Texmod (it works just fine with ME 1 and ME 3 for me), it just won't do anything with ME2 so I assume it is more Windows 10 thing. But I don't mind using the ME3Explorer for a permanent installation.

I have Texmod working with windows 10, so it's not impossible. I can't remember having to do anything fancy. I suppose you need DX9 on the system but having installed older games that should already be the case I think? I use a batch file for the renaming process and launch through Origin. I could share it. Obviously you'd need to make sure Origin ingame is turned off for ME2.
Also, you gotta make sure you launch the right exe, you need ME2game.exe not MassEffect2.exe

Yep, I have no problems with Texmod for any of the three games. All ME1 and ME2 outside of Origin, however.

Okay, so I have the second one fixed and ready to go. Is there a particular version of the first one that you prefer? Also, there is the small matter of getting the files to you. I don't know what the rule is on this exact matter, but since this was not my work and we couldn't get in touch with scamper, I don't think I'm allowed to post links to modified versions of other modders' work, however miniscule the modification in question may be. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken about this.

bladezero --- I'd say transfer the fixed mods over PM. It's fine if you do these things for personal use yourself, as long as the download doesn't become publicly available. What you can also do is send scamper a message with the same link, if they happen upon it, they have the opportunity to upload it themselves under their own project. misscashmere --- Another note on getting Texmod to run on various game versions, I've updated my Texmod guide the other day which might have some useful info for you.

Thanks, otte. misscashmere, I sent the links for the files to you via PM. Give them a try and let me know how it works out. If there's still a problem I'll do what I can to fix it. Addendum: I received a response via PM, and this situation has been resolved.
