KFreon's Big WPF Rewrite Pain Train
It's been a long time coming, and it's still not here yet but the time is fast approaching that these things finally get an update.
They've been rewritten many times now, hopefully this is the one I get right...
Goals
- Higher performance, both in reduced time for operations (scanning, installing, etc) and improved CPU/Memory/Disk usage throughout.
- Better usability. More intuitive UI (drop and drag), more responsive operations, more sensible outcomes from operations (extracting).
- NO BUGS! One can dream
NOTES/WARNINGS
- No AutoTOC included. You'll need the stable's AutoTOC.
- Pre-alpha builds, probably unstable, so be careful and BACK UP YOUR GAME FILES.
- DOES NOT EXTRACT DLC!!! Whoops...thanks Kinko.
- Vanilla-ing is also different. Default options for tree scanning will edit the game files (removing null pointers), so when vanilla-ing, it can break some things. Just be wary.

Lets start with ImageEngine since it's the basis of pretty much everything else here.
I wrote ImageEngine because nothing else supported the range of DDS formats we needed. I may have found one now, and will replace ImageEngine if required, but for now this is the show.
It supports most image formats you can think of (DDS and it's various formats, PNG, GIF, JPG, TIFF, etc)
It can load and save to almost any of those. Some formats can't be saved to due to me not having written their save methods yet. Maybe I won't, I mean why save to TIFF?
The UI allows drop and drag, bulk conversion, mipmap viewing, pan and zoom, header details, saving settings, alpha and channel displays, etc.

These are from a little while ago, but it's essentially the same. I've added channel toggles and the width and height reflects the selected mipmap, also pan and zoom.





Texplorer
Issues with the old Texplorer were numerous, including:
- Weird "Out of Memory" errors when you had tonnes of memory.
- Random crashes, especially with tree-scanning.
- UI problems when having an unusual resolution or scaled resolutions.
This Texplorer fixes those issues by handling memory better and is FINALLY 64 BIT!! Everyone with lots of RAM rejoice, cos by golly Texplorer will make use of it, at least during scanning.
The UI is written in WPF which should fix the resolution and scaling issues for the most part.
It also contains ideas from aquadran , those being the removal of the null pointers on some textures.
This means texture mods like the Aquarium Plants should work now
Ideally textures shouldn't be in the ShadowMap LODGroup either but that doesn't work for some reason...
This version is also format independent, which means it doesn't care what type of image you give it, it'll adjust as needed.
This feature works, but it's choices can't fit every situation, so be aware.

Also animation is much smoother and proper in WPF. Check it!

TPFTools
TPFTools was fairly untouched by my failures in the current Stable, but I gave it a touch-up anyway.
Should be faster, more informative, etc.
Auto conversion from the old days is back with a vengence and it's big brother who's a big football dude or whatever.
Image conversion works much better now, with pretty much every standard format supported.
That said, as alluded to above in Texplorer, it can't guess correctly everytime, so it's still best to keep things in the correct format, if only for performance reasons.

Testing is much appreciated, but SHOULD NOT GO IN THIS THREAD! The respective github pages are in the titles up there.
