im trying to use the classic armor from the nexus. when i follow the steps outlined in the notepad readme, everything works as it should, but when i go to the armor locker to try and change armors, only the description and name shows, but no armor change, and i get an infinite loading symbol at the bottom. i did realize after the fact that i forgot to remake a me3tree, so i remade the me3tree and then tried it again with no success.
im sure its something i messed up but if anyone knows whats happening please let me know. thanks

You should ask the mod author. This is not the place to ask for help with specific mods.
If you need help with using ModMaker and TPF Tools consult the wiki. If/when you have a specific question about using those tools, feel free to come back and ask.

umm.
it should be pretty clear by the mention of the me3tree and .mod files that the issue is specific to me3explorer and modmaker. and i did read the me3explorer setup instructions. i'm only here because i cant figure out what's wrong. the nexus discussion for the classic armor mod makes no mention of any of these issues, and several people are talking about it working. but its not for me, even with a proper me3explorer setup and following the instructions for installing .mod files, hence my question. i'm not a neanderthal. i dont ask questions unless i really have no idea what to do, even after exhausting all other options. im very aware of the intent of the general help section and my OP falls under the guidelines to post in this section.
additionally the mod author for this seems to have abandoned the project as her last post was 2 years ago.

Gift is right, these things are always best thought up with the mod creators, having said that... seeing this is an old mod and is no longer being maintained, we can attempt to give you some pointers. Older .mods can be a challenge to install as they have changed a lot between toolset revs and as old as that, are likely no longer compatible with the latest toolset.
You tried to get this working on a vanilla install yet, following provided instructions? Toss me up a link to the mod page please. Also, which version of the toolset did you use for installation of this mod?

Having a problem installing a MOD file with ModMaker doesn't remotely mean the toolset is at fault. Many, many MOD files these days are deprecated, will not work with the current stable of the toolset, and cannot be autofixed correctly. That responsibility is on the mod author due to lack of updates, not the toolset. 2. A tree isn't required to use ModMaker, as MM should not be used for installing textures. That was deprecated about 2 years ago. 3. If you have an infinite load, TOCing fixes it 99% of the time. See the Troubleshooting articles on the wiki. 4. If you are aware that the General Help section "falls under the guidelines of your post" (which it does not), then you should have read the sticky, which explains exactly the contents that should be included in every help request. Your post contained none of this information. 5. If a MOD is abandoned, these forums are not the "backup" place to ask questions, though there are certainly folks here who will be willing to provide assistance. If you are having a problem with toolset functionality (that isn't due to an outdated MOD file), then this is definitely the place to ask questions.
