I don't know where to put it, so I try it here in off topic.
My issue is that the prominent TAB key is now assigned to open a (green) console line (bottom of screen). I think it is related to using the ME3explorer, because I only have this issue when using mods requiring ME3explorer.
Since I need that key for gaming porpuses, is there a way to free that key again?
You cannot use it in the key mapping menu of ME3 and I haven't found an options menu in ME3explorer to change TAB to something far more out of the reach of the left hand.

For now I 'fixed' it by editing window registry entries by switching caps lock and tab. This way I can enjoy the modded ME3 this weekend finally.
Unfortunately this isn't a permanent solution, since all windows, office, mail, browser functions are affected (obv).
Can anybody confirm that the TAB key console is because of ME3explorer?

I think this is enabled by the DLC patcher (bink32/23.dll), someone correct me if I'm wrong. I'm also annoyed by this as I usually use tilde for voicecoms. I'll do some research (read: extensive googling) tonight. Feel free to do the same, maybe you'll find a solution before I do.

Indeed it could be that the dcl patcher files are involved... But as said for this weekend I am content with finally being able to PLAY the game (after over 20 hours trying to get mods or the base game work again). Changing the windows registry entries shouldn't be the default solution. www.everysecondcounts.euPS: Oh, I just noticed I have some of your mods installed as well. Nice work! Have to rub my friends' noses in my new improved visuals while they still play it on XBOX

Is anybody in contact with him? Maybe he can confirm it is part of his files (and how to change it)...

I believe you can edit the console key using the coalesced editor. Search for "consolekey"

This is technically a modding question, albeit a simple one. Relocating to Basic Modding.
