I am tearing my hair out over this; I have spent the whole day trying to remove three lines of dialogue from the Mars mission. I think Eva Core's outfit is ridiculous, but I cannot change her appearance in the Mars security feeds. I decided to bypass the part where the player sees the feed by bypassing Kaiden/Ash's line "Who's that woman in the vid?". Tried TLK edit; the new TLK was uploaded into the game with the relevant lines deleted. No change. So I tried for the next four hours to get it to work through dialogue editor. No matter what I did, the game stopped responding and crashed on loading. I can load a perfectly fine vanilla game no problem. Then I open the relevant PCC in the Dialogue Editor. I make NO changes. I press "save". I close Me3 Explorer and try to reload Me3. It crashes. I CHANGED NOTHING. NOTHING. Maybe the Dialogue Editor is corrupting the files? I was initially using MEXP 3.0. I tried all versions from 2.14 to 3.1. No change. My copy of me3 was obtained through EA Origin; perhaps Origin is messing with the files? Someone please help me out here before I drop kick my computer. Save

1. Content that appears in the game as a "video clip" usually exists as an extractable BIK within Movies.tfc. Eva's outfit isn't changing b/c it CAN'T be changed. Take a look at the BIK Movie Extractor tool. 2. Scenes are constructed differently and can require different edits. A TLK edit to remove a line will not always work. An edit via the Dialogue Editor will also not always work. Sometimes lines are implemented as FOVO's and are controlled via a different interpdata, for example. When something doesn't work you need to research the scene itself and how the dialogue is controlled. You'll need to become familiar with the Sequence Editor and the Interp Viewer, to start. First, check the sequencing in the dialogue's main PCC to whether or not the scene in question is an animcutscene. If it is, things just got much more complicated for you. If it isn't, then open up the localized PCC and find the interpdata for the line. From there, locate that interpdata in the Interp Viewer so you can try to figure out what's going on. 3. As far as your issues with PackEd and Dialogue Editor, I haven't experienced any problems like you describe, and I use both tools almost daily. I have located one problem that seems to corrupt files, but it only occurs when editing a specific property on a specific export and it's entirely unrelated to what you're doing here. Considering the amount of frustration in your post, I would be skeptical of any conclusion that something doesn't work. User error is far more likely, especially considering you sound pretty new to this. Frustration + inexperience = mistakes. Even experience doesn't help prevent that at times If you think Origin is causing the problem, put it in offline mode. ---- No bugs here, from what I can tell.

It sounds like you are not auto-TOCing after you make changes. ME3 stores a table of contents (TOC) with all the files and their sizes. If the file size is different then the game crashes.
Even if you don't make any changes but still save the file will change size because the original is compressed whilst me3explorer saves as uncompressed. Making any changes then you need to exit the game, run the autotoc tool then reload.

I ran autotoc and generated all TOCs, but now it says"The selected save cannot be loaded: the following DLC is missing: Extended Cut"

That means you have disabled the extended cut. You need to reinstall it.

I forgot to mention the obvious with TOCing. ---- Moving this thread as it's neither a bug, nor a toolset usage question. It's a modding how-to question.
