- Cora's design is close to Miranda's original artwork, and she's not the only one. There are other things in Andromeda that are using concept art used from earlier games, such as the Angarra, who look similar to one of the species concepts in the art books. Personally I'm not a fan of Cora's appearance or her character from what I've seen, the romance options revealed so far kind of suck for male characters.
- I think its great we're seeing female krogan out of those shrouds, but I hope we still see some in them. I think it adds some cultural diversity to the species in the game and I think the design was nicely implemented in ME3, obviously I wouldn't want all female krogan to wear them as seeing lots of different styles is interesting, but it would be a shame if the design was thrown out of the game entirely.
- I'm not a big fan of the jetpacks, personally. They seem gimmicky.
- I wouldn't be surprised if the Systems Alliance have some stake in the Andromeda Initiative, it'd explain the N7 weapons and that the human ark is being led by an N7 operative.
Alright, well, these lines are all you need to read:
"Humans, salarians, asari, turians. The only non-Council species on board the Nexus were the krogan, and the Nakmor clan had signed on under the contract of working for it."
So yeah, what I had thought all along is true, only the boring aliens are going to Andromeda. There is a big part of me debating about whether to cancel my pre-order, the game isn't looking as interesting as I'd hoped, and so many staples of the series have been cut away. I'll have to think on it a lot.
^ Except if that's the case, then why in the last official AI Briefing video put out by BioWare did the narrator mentioned that one of the new Golden Worlds was detro-based and could serve as a world both for turian AND quarian passengers of the Nexus?
You sure this isn't another example of a ME novel getting the facts of the game it's related to wrong?
A curiosity, if you will... so I was looking back at that Reddit thread which had that leaked MEA survey that someone put online about a year ago - a lot of the content mentioned in that survey is now sounding to be VERY accurate.
However, there's one part of the survey that makes me a little... curious:
Throughout the story, you will recruit seven distinct crew members to fight by your side. Each crew member has a unique personality and specific abilities that open up strategic options as you choose which two of them to bring into each mission.
Sooooo.... whatever happened to that 7th squadmate? (could be wrong, but am starting to smell possible Squadmate DLC again...)
If I remember a dev tweeted that they did have a 7th squadmate (a Salarian) but the team felt he was not distinct enough from a previous game squad member (i.e. Mordin). His lines and story were repurposed (into the pilot I guess).
Yeah, I'd seen screenshots of Zaeed's son, the son who looks absolutely nothing at all like Zaeed . Most people waive it away as him looking like his mum, but frankly that's poor design work, we only know Zaeed so he should have a strong resemblance to Zaeed. Still, it's cool that there are throwbacks to the previous games .
What's been fun for me, in probably the wrong way, is hearing a lot of the same voice actors. I'm pretty sure I just heard "Tali" as a female Turian. I've heard Kaidan, Victus, tons of NPCs, others I'm sure I'm forgetting. It's just fun for some reason. Like coming home.
