Hi! I've been editing the Casual Appearances in the Coalesced.bin but i keep getting the weird texture glitch after the Reapers attack. The outfit i'm substituting is the default Alliance dress uniform. I remember using that outfit in the Prologue without issue and I've tried it recently with a clean install but it doesn't work.
Is there any way to fix the glitch with this particular outfit?

As far as I know, no one has been able to prevent this from happening. Quick saving then quick reloading should fix it though.

Do you know which outfits cause the glitch? I tried one outfit which worked perfectly fine.
Is there a good "modding for dummies" tutorial that will let me replace the default textures with my own?

I'm not following what you guys are talking about, what glitch doing what with the dress blues exactly? It's cool you guys understand each-other but if this is a common issue, it would be nice if I (and other readers) could also follow the conversation, especially since you are asking for help.
I don't coalesced mod, I texture mod, so show me what's going on. What I can tell you is that the explosion at the beginning triggers the use of the damaged textures for the default prologue outfit. AKA from the point on wards you can make your first manual save, you will have dirty textures.

And if ottemis is correct, search the old forum. There's a fix for it posted there.

I want use the Alliance dress uniform but when i do this happens: the texture works fine before and after the cutscene when the Reaper descends on the Council, during the cutscene it's all messed up. when i tried the outfit used by the blog author there was no glitch.

Yeap, them be the dirty textures so those are still being referenced somewhere. When you've found and have a working fix from the old forum thread, mind moving the solution to this thread for future reference?

This post here talks about editing the BioD_ProEar_140Invasion.pcc in the Sequence Editor. He says cutting the link from 'Change Clothes' should fix it but i'm not sure how to do that without breaking the game.

Have you considered changing the model (all LODs) and textures (for both clean and dirty) in both the BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.pcc and BioD_ProEar_140Invasion.pcc instead?
I did that in my DLC and it seemed to work. At least it did for me and no one else has mentioned a problem so far.

Yeah that should work, replace the dirty outfit textures. They are only used in that segment anyways. Dirty fix, but you're only doing this for yourself no? Not for release? Dunno about sequence editing, never done it myself.
