So I've been looking into giving my character custom powers and the idea has evolved in my head
Initially I wanted a custom power set for my vanguard.
Possible by using the method devised here Bioware Forum Archive
However it requires custom keymapping and since I play with a controller that's not really possible (SP Controller mod disables keyboard input).
Gibbed and Coalesced editing seem fruitless changes made have no effects
Some internal call command seems to be pulling default class values on every load (the reason for the keymapped commands) which makes sense but is still confusing as bonus powers stick so it must be calling both the default class powers and a secondary bonus power value set. The bonus powers could be from the save file data but if for example I add singularity in the bonus power slot nothing changes which implies it's not the save file controlling it.
I may be way off here but it seems that some deeper level values force Default Powers onto character classes. If that is the case I'm trying to find where this is controlled at and if it's possible to add entirely new classes to the game via essentially cloning an existing class and adding powers as we see fit. Potentially even creating some kind of pathfinder esq class with all skills available.
As a side note if anyone has a quicker way to permanently add default game powers to any class or AVPen could talk me through the possibilities of having default powers as "Bonus powers" by cloning them in a similar way used for the Bonus Power Pack on the Nexus that would be great. Also what controls the the limit of 1 bonus power?
I'm basically looking for discussion and any research into Classes and Powers
Thanks for your time
Edit: So I'm looking around. The game seems to have a "flag"? to keep bonus powers active. No idea where this is loaded from but If it's possible to clone a default power into a bonus power they could all be packaged as DLC, Enabled once and then the user would have the ability to select any power's the wanted. I don't know if it's possible to run a binary on load but I assume if it was that would enable an "Auto Give" function. Additionally they could be sold in the med bay similar to AVpen's pack but the problem there seems to be they overwrite each other than apply additionally.
Edit 2: Right now I figure that making a new class is too ambitious so I'm focusing on the idea of cloning and converting all the Class powers as Bonus Powers and then using the "trick" of adding multiple bonus powers. If possible the end goal would be to package it as DLC similar to AVPens Bonys power pack so others can use it as they please.
Two big obstacles being I can't seem to get the multiple bonus power work around mentioned Here working and the little information I can find from AVpen on the Archive site is .. incomplete as far as instructions go. Understandable since he wasn't really writing any but he said
In relation to making Wrex's StimPack work. However, Previously in the thread discussion about the inability to clone pcc files is talked about and I have no idea as to why or what the status of work into cloning is
Also I haven't even really looked inside any of the pcc files for powers yet so It could be super simple but as I'm new to this I can imagine I'd miss the obvious anyway
Still I feel like I'm learning a bit anyway, Hopefully a little closer

After a lot of trial and error (and dumb luck), I finally managed to get the pcc file to have a new Name entry of "IsBonusPower" and applied it to the correct sequence object that required that BoolProperty to work.
