[SOLVED] Texture / .dds Mod can't be installed with TPFTool

Game affected? ME1
ME3Explorer version used? 3.0.0
Windows version? Win7 / 64
Game localization? German
Is your game pirated, EXE cracked, etc? No! Installation via Origin.
Have you tried properly vanillaing your game using this wiki article? Ohhhhhh yes .... but I have some problems to understand everything.

Sorry biggest problem probably: My english is not really good and I'm a horrible DAU. I have read the Tutorials and Wiki Information about the ME3Explorer a few times, till a few days. Still, I can't install a single mod.

Situation:
- I have (right now) ONLY Mass Effect 1 installed (newest Origin installation). With both DLC's included.
- I have the MEUITM Mod installed, successfully. I have also the single file installed "No brows fix for female NPC's", from CDAMJC
www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/1/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fmasseffect%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D1&pUp=1  . There is writen that I have to install FIRST the Mod and than to use the ME3Explorer because I have to make a new Tree with this Mod.
- I can open and use the ME3Explorer (3.0.0)  without any problems.
- I have succsseful created a Tree in the Texplorer (hope so ...). First time I have done this I got a Error Message. So I have deleted the first Tree and made a new one. This time I got NO Error Message. When I go to the TPF Tool I have a ME1 Tree, the Game is found - everything seem ok.

I want:
- With the MEUITM Mod the eyelashes are very fine. So fine that I don't see them anymore, sometimes, ingame. I want the old eyelashes back, somehow. But I don't know how. So I hope this mod could (probably) help me: www.nexusmods.com/masseffect/mods/4/?

Problem:
I open the TPF Tool. I "Load" the two mod files (I try to load both and I try to load only one, both ways) - the files are .dds. Then I press "Check all", than "Analyse with Texplorer" and finally "Install Valid". I don't see something, I don't think it was installed, so I press "Run Autofix All" . Here what I see after all .... the mod seem not to be installed and I don't see ingame chances. My impression: The TPFTool just don't react, don't recognize the files.





You have some idea where I made an error, please?

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION!

I will write the solution if somebody else have the same problem. Hope it helps somebody ....

Solution:
I had to read the Mod-information 3 or 4 times till I understand it, but: I was wrong to go to the TPF Tool. I had to go to the Texplorer again.

Here I had to look WHERE are this files in my Tree. For this I can write the name of the file in the right, upper corner (search-box). Than the program will find the file. You see the file-name(s) UNDER the search box. Click on the file name you want to change. Now you will see pictures of the file-texture in the middle. Click on the fitting file-picture (look to the name under the picture).
If you click on the picture in the middle some new options will appear UNDER the pictures: Press change. Now you can search for the file that should overwrite the old file.
After you have choosen all files you want to change press "Save changes" in the upper, left corner. Done. :-)

When loading a raw DDS into TPF Tools, the hash MUST be in the file name. That is the only way TPF Tools knows where to look for it. Your texture wasn't found in the tree, since the hash was not in the file name. Had you changed the file name to include the hash, TPF Tools would have had no problem installing the texture.
