like you may have seen in my introduction thread I'm working on mod translations.
My main project is MEHEM (I already started it with MrFob, but since he's gone, well I know he wanted to do a translation, so I want to finish it. He already allowed me to upload the translated tlk file, so I hope it is ok to upload the new files, so you still need to download the original mod, after I finished) and my side project is EGM and some of the addons for it (i will not publish any files for that I will send a message to the different authors and ask if they want include the translations in their mod, if im allowed to upload it myself or if they dont want any translation, in this case I will only use it for myself)
Mehem is a kinda big project so I decided to start with something simpler at first.
So I thought Urz on Normandy would be good thing to start, since it only edits one conversation. I already found the german files I would need to edit.
So I looked at the files the mod has, I have a BioD_Nor_405Engineering_LOC_INT.pcc, which is an almost exact copy of the file in DLC_CON_END, only the dialogue between Daniels and Donelly is edited, so I think I should use the original BioD_Nor_405Engineering_LOC_DEU.pcc as a base.
Then there is the DLCC_MOD_URZ.afc as far as I understood afc files contain the audio files.
So I guess I need to put the german Audiofiles of the new conversation in that file and then edit the pcc to use the files there instead of those in the original game, right?
I tried to find out how to do it, but I'm either stupid or blind because I wasn't able to find anything about it.
I think after I learned how to translate Urz I should be able to continue with MEHEM.
I hope I was able to explain what I want to do and where my problem is ^^"
