Just some quick tips for those of you unfamiliar with Proboards:
Visit your Profile
Many settings are customizable, and you'll want to be sure to set your privacy options. Be sure to check in again after a dozen or so posts. New features will be present that are initially turned off to reduce the chance of forum spam.
PBs Global Account
Proboards allows you to link multiple forum accounts to the same global account. You retain separate usernames for each forum, but the global account allows you to easily switch between forums without logging into each one individually. Convenient if you use more than one PB forum. For more info on how that works, look here and here.
Messages
Messages on PBs are glorious. They are handled as group conversation threads. You can invite multiple members and they look identical to a forum thread, just with no editing of posts. Also, you can create labels for messages and sort their display. Very handy for you modders who work on multiple projects.
Member Tagging
Also, glorious. PB's uses the "@name" method to allow for tagging a community member in a post. This makes communication so much easier and more efficient.
Liking
PBs has a "like" system, not a "thanks" system.
Notifications
These are highly customizable and we encourage you to use them. You'll get a bubble counter for your notifications, just like your messages. You'll know exactly when someone likes a post, quotes you, tags you, etc.
Search
Unlike Freeforums, PBs Search feature works and works well. Search the forum, not Google.
Multiple Post Quote
Quote multiple posts using Alt+Click.
Quote Multiple Sections of 1 or More Posts
This is a little convoluted, but it does work:
Set this to Preview or BBCode in your Profile settings.
Post Moods
This is just a silly plug in that adds an emoji to the title of your post/thread. For some reason, there's no indication of your selection, but it does work.
We'll update this thread with more tips, as needed. If you have a tip you want to share, please post it here
Thanks!

Quote Multiple Sections of 1 or More Posts
This is a little convoluted, but it does work:
- Highlight the text you want to quote
- Post settings > Quote Selection > Click Ok
- Repeat for as many quotes you want from the thread
- Click Reply
- Click on the Quotes tab at the bottom of the Post Editor
- Select > All Quotes you want to use
- Action > Insert Selected quotes
Now, type in your response and post You can also do this manually via copy and paste, and editing the BBCode view, but the way above is definitely faster. This feature is a plug in and I've occasionally see it glitch, but most of the time it works.
Set this to Preview or BBCode in your Profile settings.
