Hi everybody!
I'm from Germany and like Glutzahn I would like to play some mods in my native language. Due to a personal loss in 2014 I started playing videogames and the end of ME3 was... not so good. Searching for a solution I found MEHEM and the language problem. I checked out ME3Explorer, ran into a problem with the subtitle scanner (which still isn't working, but who cares), created an account on the old forum, talked to MrFob (like Glutzahn) and just played the game over and over again.
My modding skills are non-existent, but with reading and the trial-and-error method and more reading I hope to figure things out. My biggest problem is the closing of BioWare Forum. Most helpful links are down.
Currently I'm working on CEML, to start with something simple I thought. Totally wrong. But I finally made the audio files working in game. And now I want to mess around with FXA things. I don't have 3DS Max or Maya or anything. That's the reason I'm here. I have a lot of questions and it doesn't hurt to ask.
Thanks to all modders for being creative, patient, and generous for sharing their mods and to the Toolset Development Team for creating it.

Hi Autoola-- Welcome! Lipsync is only moddable with the toolset's two FaceFX editors. Max and Maya can't be used. The best way to "create" lipsync is to copy existing animation from another line. The new editor (FaceFX Editor) is capable of grabbing full lines, or exporting/importing sections. If there's not a line that matches exactly, then try using bits from different lines. The most important thing is that the number of syllables matches and the pacing the words are spoken at is the same. BW's lip movements are not that exact, so if you have those two things, it will look good enough to not be immersion-breaking. If you want something that looks a bit better, then try to use an animation that starts and/or ends with the same word as your modded audio. Also, be aware that facial animations will not work properly across all species. Stick with source material that matches the speaker species. Human/asari are interchangeable, from what I know (so far). Once you start working on things, feel free to post a thread in the Basic Modding section. Good luck!
