BOARD DESCRIPTION | BASIC MODDING
A place for users and novice modders to ask modding-related questions. Advanced modders are also free to pitch ideas here; if pursued the thread can be relocated to Mods in Development.
DISCUSSION GUIDELINES
This board takes the place of the following boards on the old forum: How Do I..., Mod Ideas and Requests, and Other People's Stuff.
As with those boards, folks are free to ask questions and post thoughts. Whether or not you get an answer depends on other members of the community choosing to spend their free time to provide help or feedback.
Before starting a new discussion, please remember the scope of the ME3Explorer community:
Topics outside of our scope are not verboten, but are less likely to lead to a productive discussion.

Before starting a new discussion, please remember the scope of the ME3Explorer community:
- We are a single-player-centric modding community, focused on content modding.
- We do not have a great emphasis on coalesced modding (MOAM, etc), outside of what's needed to create different content mods.
- The creation and/or editing of textures and meshes uses 3rd party applications and is therefore outside the purview of the toolset. If discussed, these topics should be placed on the Textures and Meshed subboard.
- We do not provide technical support for specific mods.
- We do not provide technical support for the use of other modding tools.
Topics outside of our scope are not verboten, but are less likely to lead to a productive discussion.
Also:
- If you have a question about how to use the toolset, please consult the wiki before posting. It will save you time. If you need further help, ask in General Help.
- Always search the forum before asking a question. The Search feature on these forums works well.
- Once your question is answered/solved, please edit your OP to mark it as such. Moderators will lock the thread.
- If you are working on a specific project, place all questions related to that project in the same thread. Do NOT spam the forum with loads of small threads in an attempt to receive a response. Separate threads will be merged by moderators, and you'll be issued a warning.
- Threads are locked after 6 months of inactivity.
