[SOLVED] Meshplorer - System.OutOfMemoryException upk import

I'm using ME3Explorer version 3.0 (and tried the latest beta too) and I keep getting this error when I try to import a upk mesh.

This might have to do with my version of the Unreal Development Kit as I recently transferred to a new PC and had to re-download it but it wasn't available from Epic anymore so I got a version from ModDB. There isn't a version number in the "About"  window so I can't tell you which it is exactly but the folder says "UDK-2009-11" if that's any help.

Or it might be completely unrelated. Does anyone have any ideas? I can post the entire error if that helps.

EDIT 2: So it seems the last release was Feb 2015 so the version I managed to get was way out of date. I've resorted to trying to get it from a file sharing site because I'm out of options. I tried copying the install folder from my old PC but no luck. I don't know why Epic decided to just take it down...


I'm trying to fix my Customizable Ashley Armour mod because the new mesh is wonky but I can't if I don't have access to the UDK because PSK imports are not working for me.


Oh well... I'll see what happens with that download.

EDIT 3: That was a bust. I can't find a recent release of the UDK anywhere so I guess I'm stuck. If anyone happens on this post and they have the setup executable that they are willing to share, I'd be grateful.

I'm getting a similar issue when trying to import UPK mesh and looking for a reason why its not working. I’m trying to mod MShep’s body meshes, and while I can get the models into 3DSMax and Edit them, then export there psk to UDK, but when I try to put the udk’s in Meshplorer, I cant click Import LOD and I get an ‘Unhandled exception - System.OutOfMemoryException’ Error. I thought it might have been due to the fact I was using 3DSMax 2016 instead of 2012, but if it's an issue with Meshplorer or the wrong UDK version I have no idea :/

Usually this error pops up because the UDK needs updating, afaik. I'm running UDK3 v12791

I seem to still have a download in my folder, I don't know if it would work for people though. I'd assume so.

I've tried with UE4, but from what I've read it doesn't support PSK's anymore, only FBX's, and even then UE4 doesn't acknowledge the ME3 skeleton, the mesh appears but with no bone structure. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm thinking the only way this can be done is with software versions of 3DSMax and UDK that were around when ME3 was launched, which of course aren't available anymore.

But it appears I'm using a UDK from 2009, pre-ME3, so understandably it wouldn't work, but old versions are hard to get hold of. Is it possible to see if it works for your version? Or share the install .exe someway? I'd be very grateful.

The only potential problem with newer versions of max is the psk import export script, but that wouldn't net you that error as far as I know. I don't actually know if there's viable scripts for them nowadays, I've been using 2012 and I've never had to experiment with it.
If you'd like to try the version of UDK3 I still have the install exe for, here's the link. Afaik it should be the latest (and last) updated version from feb 2015.

Please report back if it works and I'll keep a backup of this version for the toolset.
