Hi all, as the line says
There is an abandoned mod on NEXUS for ME 2; I installed ME3 explorer and gives at least a couple errors and does not work
I am not a coder/programmer, can someone suggest something ?
eitehr an old version of ME explorer that could load itor update it ?
I am willing to link mod here in this thread if posting links to NEXUS is allowed, but any solution/advice welcome for me to be able to use it
Thx! Jean

You're allowed to post links . We can't help much without knowing which mod you're talking about, and what issue you're having exactly.

tyreanthil -- 1. Please read the START HERE announcement and the board's sticky "ABOUT" thread before posting. The General Help area is not the place for a question like this. 2. Users cannot update "abandoned" mods on a whim. At least, not for public release (which includes distribution on these forums). Your intention isn't 100% clear, so I want to point that out. 3. If it's a .mod file, then you need to know what version of the toolset it was created with. The mod author should include that information with the mod. If they don't, then you'll have to do some trial and error. A good bet would be to start with an old rev that was released as close to the mod's upload date as possible. There are 10 old stables on Nexus that predate v2.0. All include their original dates of release for this reason.

These are texture mods yes, the first offered in tpf and .mod format, the second only as tpf? What issues are you experiencing installing these? What have you tried? Screenshots of the errors help, also, which toolset version you've tried using.

"RangerDulann" uploaded the mods, but both are credited as Apogee777's work. The mods may or may not have been uploaded with Apogee777's permission, and s/he is very clearly active on the Nexus. So, no, the mod is not at all "abandoned", but there is a matter of permission. Either way, the mod is perfectly useable, just don't use the .mod file. MOD files have long been deprecated for textures, as the wiki explains. Use the TPF and either install with the toolset or Texmod. If you don't know how to use the TPF with the toolset, then read the wiki. Link is in main menu above. If you try to use the TPF and the textures are improperly formatted, the toolset may be able to fix it. If not, then that's also something to address with the modder.

ok Thx gang its the mod that blew up
I am not very familiar with TextMod, but my guess, by reading a bit about it, its a Temporary overlay , and separate start up routine correct ?
I had posted in his comments, but never got an answer
Thx JM
